Treatment Guidelines

Following a longstanding need within the otolaryngology fraternity of Kerala, AOI Kerala, under the leadership of Dr. P. Gopikumar (2015–16), initiated the development of structured treatment guidelines for common ENT disorders.

These guidelines serve as a practical reference for ENT consultants in day-to-day clinical decision-making, especially in situations of uncertainty, and also provide support in addressing medico-legal considerations.

A dedicated technical committee formulated the initial draft, which was subsequently reviewed, refined, and finalized through collective input from experienced members of the association.
